All therapists and all psychotherapy practices are not alike. As a small, selective practice, The Counseling and Connection Center provides ALL of these services at no additional charge. Before you choose a therapist, I invite you to think about what the Counseling and Connection Center has to offer:
Free Consultation — Email or call me to arrange an appointment. You'll be able to get a sense of who I am and how I work and to ask any other questions you may have.
Credit Cards Accepted — You may pay with VISA, MasterCard, AMERICAN EXPRESS and DISCOVER.
Automatic Appointment Reminders — You can choose to be reminded by text or e-mail. You won't need to worry about remembering when your appointment is.
Longer Sessions — There are no 45 or 50 minute sessions. Individual sessions are a full hour (60 minutes). Couple and family sessions are a minimum of 60 minutes.
Consistent Care — This is a solo practice. You will not have your therapist switched in the middle of your treatment.
No Overbooking — Your time is important. You will never be stuck waiting a long time for your appointment.
Fair Cancellation Policy — There is no penalty for changes within 24 hours if you make up the session within a week.
Highest Level Training — I am a graduate of one of the nation's top graduate schools (Hunter College School of Social Work) and have Postgraduate training from the internationally known Ackerman Institute for the Family.
Lifelong Commitment to Learning — I attend far more than the minimum number of continuing education hours needed to renew my license. I attend top level workshops and seminars to keep up with the latest developments in the field of mental health, couples therapy and eating disorders. Many of these are with leaders in their field.
Thirty Years of Experience — There is simply no substitute for experience. When that experience is combined with compassion, caring and curiosity, you as a client reap the benefits.
Highly Accessible — All calls to my office are forwarded to a dedicated cell phone that is only for clients. No talking to receptionists or
wondering when someone will get back to you.
